Photography Weekend at Land's End

with professional photographer, David Chapman

Winter is a great time to take landscape photographs with some fantastic light and often dramatic conditions.  Why not blow away the winter cobwebs, get your camera out of its bag and take part in this fantastic weekend of photography.

This weekend is aimed at people who are keen to improve their understanding of landscape photography.   Participants will stay at Land's End Hotel, situated high on cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean, and visit some of the most beautiful parts of West Cornwall.

Bring your partner along as well, whether or not they wish to take part in the photography they will be made most welcome at the hotel.

Dates: 24th to 26th of February 2017 (maximum number of participants, 10)

Costs for 2016/7:

£325 for a single participant

£600 for two participants sharing double room

Extra nights at the hotel either before or after the weekend will be charged at the special rate of £75 per person per night for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.

The price for participants includes tuition from David Chapman as well as breakfast, lunch and evening meal; it also includes morning coffee and afternoon tea if we are in the hotel at appropriate times.  (Non-participating partners will accompany us for breakfast and dinner.)  All guests will stay in rooms with a sea view, looking out over the Atlantic!

Participants will be required to drive, or car share with other participants, to some photographic locations.

Course Content:

The course will start at 12.30pm on the Friday with lunch and a presentation followed by a sunset shoot and evening meal, we will finish with lunch on Sunday and be ready to leave at about 1pm.

The main aim of the course is to get out and take photos with practical advice on location from David.  In the event that the weather is inclement for a period of time we may stay indoors and process photos informally, again with advice and discussion.

 You Will Need:

Preferably you will have an SLR camera, though bridge and compacts can be used;

It would be beneficial to have a tripod and a remote release;

Outdoor clothing and walking boots;

Laptop with processing software would be an advantage.
